La\u00a0Administraci\u00f3n Federal de Aviaci\u00f3n (FAA)<\/strong>\u00a0suspendi\u00f3 temporalmente los requisitos de franjas horarias, mejor conocidas como slots,<\/strong>\u00a0para las aerol\u00edneas estadounidenses y extranjeras, esto como ayuda a los transportistas que han visto caer la demanda de vuelos, derivada de la propagaci\u00f3n del\u00a0COVID-19.<\/strong><\/p>\n

De tal modo, el regulador de los Estados Unidos\u00a0interrumpir\u00e1 la regla hasta el 31 de mayo<\/strong>, por lo que las l\u00edneas locales e internacionales no perder\u00e1n sus horarios.<\/p>\n

La decisi\u00f3n de la FAA abarca los aeropuertos\u00a0John F. Kennedy y La Guardia<\/strong>, en Nueva York; el\u00a0aer\u00f3dromo Reagan<\/strong>, en Washington; adem\u00e1s incluyen las cancelaciones con horarios programados al Internacional\u00a0O\u2019Hare,<\/strong>\u00a0Chicago;\u00a0Newark Liberty<\/strong>, Nueva York;\u00a0San Francisco y Los \u00c1ngeles, en California.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Recientemente\u00a0Robin Hayes, CEO de JetBlue, declar\u00f3 que la capacidad de operaciones a\u00e9reas ha disminuido m\u00e1s en respuesta al coronavirus que despu\u00e9s del 11 de septiembre<\/strong>. Si bien consider\u00f3 que la compa\u00f1\u00eda mantiene una fortaleza econ\u00f3mica, solicit\u00f3 est\u00e1 exenci\u00f3n a la FAA a medida que reducen su n\u00famero de servicios.<\/p>\n

\u201cAerol\u00edneas\u00a0vuelan con aviones vac\u00edos<\/strong>, lo cual es una locura (\u2026) Una exenci\u00f3n de la FAA ser\u00eda una gran ayuda para los transportistas que atraviesan esta crisis\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3.<\/p>\n

Cabe se\u00f1alar que\u00a0los transportistas deben usar el 80%\u00a0 de estos derechos de despegue y aterrizaje, o slots, de lo contrario ser\u00edan penalizadas\u00a0<\/strong>perdiendo sus horarios para la siguiente temporada de vuelo.<\/p>\n

Esta decisi\u00f3n se produce luego que\u00a0la Comisi\u00f3n Europea vot\u00f3 para suspender temporalmente los requisitos de uso en los principales aeropuertos<\/strong>\u00a0de los estados miembro.<\/p>\n
