United Airlines anunci\u00f3 que ha completado un acuerdo<\/strong> para trabajar con la empresa de movilidad a\u00e9rea Archer<\/strong> en el desarrollo de aeronaves el\u00e9ctricas eVTOL<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Todo esto como parte del esfuerzo m\u00e1s amplio de la aerol\u00ednea para invertir en tecnolog\u00edas emergentes que descarbonizan los viajes a\u00e9reos, donde lugar de depender de los motores de combusti\u00f3n tradicionales, los aviones el\u00e9ctricos de despegue y aterrizaje verticales (eVTOL) de Archer est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para usar motores el\u00e9ctricos<\/strong> y tienen el potencial de ser usados en el futuro como un \u2018taxi a\u00e9reo\u2019 en los mercados urbanos.<\/p>\n

Con la tecnolog\u00eda actual, los aviones de Archer est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para viajar distancias de hasta 60 millas a velocidades de hasta 150 millas por hora<\/strong> y los modelos futuros estar\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para viajar m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido y m\u00e1s lejos. Los aviones de Archer no solo son capaces de ahorrar tiempo a las personas en sus desplazamientos, United estima que el uso de aviones eVTOL de Archer podr\u00eda reducir las emisiones de CO2 en un 47% por pasajero en un viaje entre Hollywood y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Los \u00c1ngeles (LAX), una de las ciudades iniciales donde Archer planea lanzar su flota.<\/p>\n

Liderada por los cofundadores y codirectores ejecutivos Brett Adcock y Adam Goldstein,<\/strong> la misi\u00f3n de Archer es promover los beneficios de la movilidad a\u00e9rea sostenible a escala.
