– Un proceso de precalentamiento casi instant\u00e1neo de esta bater\u00eda de litio experimental eleva su temperatura durante los 10 minutos que dura el proceso de carga, y la enfr\u00eda r\u00e1pidamente, lo que permite recuperar energ\u00eda para que un avi\u00f3n eVTOL vuele durante 80 kil\u00f3metros.<\/p>\n

Un grupo de cient\u00edficos de la Universidad Estatal de Pensilvania ha creado una bater\u00eda experimental con una tecnolog\u00eda innovadora de carga a alta temperatura que permite lograr suficiente energ\u00eda en tan solo 10 minutos como para realizar vuelos de 80 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

La adaptaci\u00f3n del uso de las bater\u00edas para alimentar aviones el\u00e9ctricos es mucho m\u00e1s complicada que las que se encuentran a la hora de implementarlas, por ejemplo, en los coches el\u00e9ctricos. Esta dificultad radica en la necesidad de\u00a0reducir lo m\u00e1ximo posible su peso<\/strong>\u00a0para que no imposibilite un uso adecuado. Existe un complicado balance entre la cantidad de energ\u00eda que puede almacenar una bater\u00eda y que sea lo suficientemente liviana como para permitir que la aeronave despegue y permanezca el tiempo suficiente en el aire. Su comparaci\u00f3n con\u00a0la densidad de energ\u00eda que ofrece el queroseno<\/strong>\u00a0de los aviones tradicionales las hace en muchos casos inviables t\u00e9cnica y econ\u00f3micamente.<\/p>\n

Lograr aumentar la\u00a0densidad de energ\u00eda<\/strong>\u00a0de las bater\u00edas es uno de los desaf\u00edos clave de la industria de la aviaci\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica, aunque tambi\u00e9n existen otros factores que hay que tener en cuenta. Uno de ellos es el\u00a0tiempo de recarga<\/strong> necesario para mantener los aviones en vuelo la mayor parte del tiempo posible. Ambos son incompatibles entre s\u00ed, puesto que a mayor densidad de energ\u00eda, mayor tiempo para lograr una recarga completa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
