La aerol\u00ednea\u00a0JetSMART<\/strong>, controlada por el fondo de inversi\u00f3n estadounidense Indigo Partners, solicit\u00f3 operar rutas dom\u00e9sticas en Colombia, seg\u00fan inform\u00f3 la compa\u00f1\u00eda en un comunicado.<\/p>\n

La empresa dijo que particip\u00f3 en una audiencia p\u00fablica en Colombia en la que solicit\u00f3 rutas dom\u00e9sticas como primer paso en el proceso de establecerse como operador de transporte p\u00fablico regular en ese pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n

\u00abEste es un paso importante en el plan de crecimiento de JetSMART en Sudam\u00e9rica, donde vemos grandes oportunidades en el mercado colombiano, el cual servimos desde 2019 con rutas internacionales a Chile\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el director ejecutivo de la aerol\u00ednea, Estuardo Ortiz.<\/p>\n

La aerol\u00ednea solicit\u00f3 operar en 22 aeropuertos de Colombia.<\/p>\n

De las 111 rutas solicitadas, 91 no pasan por Bogot\u00e1, algo que, seg\u00fan la compa\u00f1\u00eda, apunta \u00aba ofrecer mayor conectividad interregional, como la que JetSMART brinda actualmente en Chile, Argentina y Per\u00fa\u00bb.<\/p>\n

La aerol\u00ednea indic\u00f3 que para su operaci\u00f3n en Colombia dispondr\u00eda de aeronaves Airbus A320neo y A321neo.<\/p>\n

JetSMART inici\u00f3 sus servicios a Colombia a finales de 2019 con rutas entre Santiago de Chile y Bogot\u00e1, Cali y Medell\u00edn, y entre Antofagasta (Chile) y Cali.<\/p>\n

Fundada en 2016, JetSMART tiene operaciones en Argentina, Brasil, Colombia, Uruguay, Per\u00fa, Paraguay y Chile, y cubre unas 60 rutas en toda Sudam\u00e9rica.<\/p>\n

La compa\u00f1\u00eda est\u00e1 controlada por Indigo Partners, un fondo fundado por el empresario William Franke y con inversiones en varias aerol\u00edneas, entre ellas Wizz Air (Europa), Volaris (M\u00e9xico), Frontier Airlines (Estados Unidos), Cebu Pacific (Asia) y Lynx (Canad\u00e1), inform\u00f3 EFE.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
