Rusia comenz\u00f3 a desarrollar una catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica para portaaviones, hecho que se percibe como un claro indicio de que la Armada piensa obtener portaaviones de nueva generaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

Esta simb\u00f3lica noticia para la Armada rusa, que parece poner fin a las discusiones en Rusia acerca de la importancia de los portaaviones, fue informada este martes por el director ejecutivo de la oficina de dise\u00f1os N\u00e9vskoe, Sergu\u00e9i Vl\u00e1sov.<\/p>\n

Sin embargo, Vl\u00e1sov evit\u00f3 detallar qu\u00e9 compa\u00f1\u00edas rusas participar\u00e1n en el proyecto, informa ITAR-TASS. Todav\u00eda es dif\u00edcil predecir cu\u00e1nto tiempo tardar\u00e1n las compa\u00f1\u00edas rusas en sacar adelante el ambicioso proyecto, indic\u00f3 Vl\u00e1sov.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl problema es que los estadounidenses han trabajado en esto durante m\u00e1s de 10 a\u00f1os. Instalar\u00e1n su primera catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica en 2016 en el nuevo portaaviones Gerald Ford\u00bb, precis\u00f3 el director de la oficina de dise\u00f1os N\u00e9vskoe y destac\u00f3 que el dispositivo permitir\u00eda simplificar el dise\u00f1o del buque y prescindir de la planta de propulsi\u00f3n nuclear.<\/p>\n

La catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica es un motor de inducci\u00f3n lineal que por medio de una carretilla especial le permite acelerar un avi\u00f3n hasta la velocidad de despegue.<\/p>\n

En la actualidad, EE.UU. es el \u00fanico pa\u00eds en el mundo que dispone de un prototipo funcional de catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica. Lleva la designaci\u00f3n EMALS y se instalar\u00e1 en el portaaviones clase Gerald Ford, cuya cabeza de serie fue puesta a flete en noviembre de 2013.<\/p>\n

Se cree que China tambi\u00e9n lleva a cabo el desarrollo de una catapulta electromagn\u00e9tica, pero el proyecto no est\u00e1 confirmado oficialmente.<\/p>\n

El programa estatal ruso de armamento y material para 2011-2020 no incluye el dise\u00f1o y construcci\u00f3n de un nuevo portaaviones. Sin embargo, las asignaciones para el proyecto podr\u00edan figurar en el nuevo programa, para los a\u00f1os 2016-2025. Se espera que este documento sea presentado al presidente de Rusia en 2015.<\/p>\n
