Entre las numerosas novedades presentadas durante el sal\u00f3n internacional de la aeron\u00e1utica celebrado este mes en Par\u00eds pas\u00f3 relativamente desapercibida la puesta de largo del primer avi\u00f3n 100% el\u00e9ctrico. Se trata del e-fan, una peque\u00f1a aeronave con capacidad para dos personas cuyo desarrollo est\u00e1 llevando a cabo en Francia Airbus, y que con el vuelo de la semana pasada ha demostrado que el concepto de un avi\u00f3m impulsado \u00fanicamente por bater\u00edas es tecnol\u00f3gicamente viable.<\/p>\n

Cuenta con dos tubinas de una potencia total de 60kW, apenas pesa 500 kilogramos en vac\u00edo y en sus alas alberga 120 bater\u00edas de ion-litio, en lugar de almacenar combustible de alto octanaje.<\/p>\n

Con una carga de bater\u00edas completa (que en su versi\u00f3n r\u00e1pida puede realizarse en apenas una hora), este peque\u00f1o avi\u00f3n que se desliza por el aire casi en silencio puede volar entre 45 y 60 minutos.<\/p>\n

Todo en el aparato ha sido dise\u00f1ado para maximizar la eficiencia en vuelo, y aunque los par\u00e1metros est\u00e1n lejos de las caracter\u00edsticas de otras aeronaves biplaza, la velocidad de crucero (unos 160 km\/h) y la velocidad m\u00e1xima (220 km\/h) no tienen desde luego parang\u00f3n en un mercado en el que no existe a\u00fan una sola nave de propulsi\u00f3n el\u00e9ctrica.<\/p>\n

Airbus pretende que este ingenio est\u00e9 a la venta a finales de 2017 o comienzos de 2018, y aunque por el momento el prototipo que mostr\u00f3 en Par\u00eds es el \u00fanico que existe, se espera que el grupo industrial europeo construya pr\u00f3ximamente una l\u00ednea de ensamblaje dedicada en exclusiva al e-fan en Pau, al norte de los Pirineos.<\/p>\n
